The Blues Festival Season is Upon Us

Are you planning to attend any of the Blues Festivals around the country?  Well, I sure am. First up on the BF journey will be a trip out to Aurora Illinois. for Blues on the Fox, June 17th & 18th. It is the 20th year for this festival. In addition to the festival I am planning on visiting with an old friend I haven’t seem since I was in the U.S. Navy, over 40 years, ago! I fulfilled my obligation to the Navy in 1975. To make this trip even better, my son and will attend a Cubs/Pirates game at Wrigley on Sunday June 19, before going to my daughters in Kalamazoo, Michigan. It should be a fun trip for sure. Then locally around Columbus I plan on going to the Blues and Ribfest at Canal Winchester, July 29 & 30. One of my favorite Blues bands will be there, Billy the Kid & the Regulators. The the Wheeling Heritage Blues Fest (on the beautiful Ohio River) rolls in on August 12th, 13th and 14th. Finally, it will be out to Granville for the Hot Licks Festival on Labor Day weekend (Sept. 3rd) Should be a great summer of Blues for the Soul Man! Here are the line-ups that I know right now:
